Rugby Borough Councillors for Dunsmore ward Howard Roberts and Deepah Roberts welcome newly elected Peter Eccleson.
More about Dunmore’s new Borough Councillor; Peter has lived in Warwickshire for over 20 years. Married and lives in Dunchurch with their two young children who attend local schools. He served the first 10 years of his working career as an Electronics Officer in the Royal Navy. Following his navy career he entered into a electronic engineering career. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation and currently owns a technology business servicing the highways and other parts of the transportation industry across the United Kingdom. During the last 7 years Peter has been heavily involved in the activities of Dunchurch Parish Council, where he served as Chairman for 5 years. In his spare time he likes to attend live theatre, walking in the countryside with his wife and children or support the numerous after-school activities that the children partake in.
The Rugby borough ward of Dunsmore includes not just Ryton on Dunsmore but Bourton village, Draycote and Frankton, Dunchurch, Princethorpe, Stretton on Dunsmore and Thurlaston.

Annual Parish Meeting 2019

Village Annual Meeting (not the Annual meeting of the Parish Council)

24th April 2019 From 7.30pm in the Village Hall

The meeting is open to all residents of the Parish.

There will be a report from the Parish Council and other organisations from the village. Members of the Village are encouraged to come along and ask questions.

580 Bus service Ryton


Following the recent announcement that the Accessible Transport Group (operator of iGo Buses, amongst others) entered into receivership, the County Council has been following matters closely and have taken action to ensure the continued operation of the 580 bus service currently operated by iGo Buses.
From Monday 1st April 2019 these services will be operated by National Express Coventry although there will be no change to the timetable for the time being. Please note that despite the connotations of the date this announcement is correct.
The new vehicles will be white and light blue in colour with National Express Coventry branding on the front and will display the relevant route no. (A representative photo is attached). All associated online and roadside timetables will be updated as a matter of priority next week.

Tree Planting Volunteers Needed

The Parish Council are looking for volunteers to help plant trees in the burial ground on Saturday 30th March at 8am.
The Woodland Trust supplied the trees after a successful application from the Parish Council.

Parish Council Elections

Nomination packs are now available from Rugby Borough Council with a limited number available at the parish office at the Village Hall, High Street. The deadline to return nomination papers is 4pm on Wednesday 3rd April 2019. These papers must be hand delivered to Sandy Veale at The Town Hall.
