March 22nd AGM – Speaker to be confirmed
April 26th Anne Langley, secretary of the Stretton on Dunsmore History Society, author of Victorian Village Life, Brandon Silk Mill, Warwick County Asylum and Joseph Ashby’s Victorian Warwickshire, will be showing us early photographs of Rugby and surrounding villages (ca 1900)
May 15th Trip Duke of Buccleuch’s residence Boughton House is a country house, in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Part of an estate of 11,000 acres, it is one of the seats of the Duke of Buccleuch, and famed for its beauty, its collections, and the fact it has survived virtually unchanged since the 17th century. While possessing a medieval core, its exterior evokes an opulent French chateau, causing it to be termed The English Versailles. Only open to members of the History Group.

June 7th School Fete
June 28th David Fry Author of numerous pictorial books including Victorian and Edwardian photographic postcards, studied at Leicester University in Historical Studies. Talks about Coventry Top Shops. Watchmakers and Ribbon Weavers
