Community Defibrillator and Heated Box

DefibrillatorCommunities around the UK are installing lifesaving Defibrillators and heated boxes for people to use in an emergency situation, these really are lifesaving tools to use.

  • Living in a village will take on average 5 to 10 minutes for a Community First Responder to reach you and administer lifesaving skills
  • Living in a village will take on average 8 to 12 minutes for a crewed Ambulance to reach you and administer lifesaving skills

Heart attacks in the United Kingdom claim 32,000 lives each year and that number is growing:

  • 17,254 are Men
  • 5,836 are Women

In Ryton we are fortunate to be covered by the Bubbenhall First Responders, dealing with life-threatening, emergency, medical calls within our community. They provide vital ‘first-person-on-scene’ assistance to people who are ill or injured prior to the arrival of the ambulance crew.
