Public Meeting – EU Referendum
There is a public meeting on the EU Referendum taking place on Wednesday evening, 6th April 2016, at The Benn Hall, Rugby, CV21 2LN starting at 6:30pm.
The event has been organised by Rugby MP Mark Pawsey (who supports remaining in the EU) and he will be chairing the event. Mr Pawsey has invited expert speakers to represent each side:
- Former Conservative MEP Philip Bushill-Matthews will be speaking on behalf of the Remain campaign – Philip was an MEP for the West Midlands between 1999 and 2009 and served in a number of positions in the European Parliament, including Leader of the Conservative Group.
- UKIP’s James Carver MEP will be speaking on behalf of the Leave campaign – James has represented the West Midlands since 2014 and currently sits on the Foreign Affairs committee in the European Parliament.
